Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance provides relief from sickness and injury for the people of Dorset and Somerset, by the provision of an air ambulance service, with an air and road-delivered critical care capability. Our operational costs are over £4 million a year and the approximate cost per mission is £3,000. It is with thanks to the fantastic efforts of our amazing supporters and volunteers that we can provide our life-saving service for 19 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Finance Officer

Are you an experienced finance professional? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our Charity Team.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to work closely with our Deputy CEO to prepare our monthly accounts. This is a key role within the finance function providing administrative support to the Charity’s Head Office in Wellington.

The post holder will have:

  • Sound knowledge of Sage Accounting
  • Level 3 AAT qualification or above, or at least 3 years' experience working in a similar role

Naturally, we need a real team player who is adaptable, conscientious and able to work on their own initiative.     

In return, you'll receive:

  • Competitive salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (pro rata for 30-37.5 hours per week)
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
