Fantastic new SummerFest family event comes to Weymouth

Weymouth and Portland Round Table is excited to announce that it will host a new fun-filled family festival at Redlands Leisure and Community Park on Saturday 3^rd of June.

Entry to the SummerFest event is free although an optional donation can made on arrival, with proceeds going to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Round Table’s defibrillator fundraising appeal.

Weymouth and Portland Round Table Chairman Adam Luckhurst said:

SummerFest is shaping up to be not only one of the largest and most popular events in Weymouth this summer, but also the biggest fundraiser in Weymouth and Portland Round Table’s calendar - so save the date of the 3^rd of June in your diary now.

SummerFest has all the makings of a fantastic day out for local families and visitors alike with a jam-packed line up of activities and attractions, including live bands and the opportunity to watch the FA Cup Final all topped off by a grand fireworks display.

The event is also set to include a pop-up farmers’ market with food and refreshments, a children’s football tournament, crazy golf, bouncy castle, rides and trampolines plus falconry, Combat Lab and classic car displays with more attractions to be confirmed.

SummerFest is a high-profile headline event at Redlands Leisure and Community Park under new operators Active Dorset.

SummerFest promises to be a signature fundraising event for Weymouth and Portland Round Table since it re-established following the Covid pandemic.

Following a serious road traffic collision, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance provided my daughter with critical care at the scene and then airlifted her to Bristol Royal Childrens Hospital. Without the help.of the Air Ambulance, the outcome for Esme may have been very different.

Val’s Brew for the Crew Fundraiser

This wonderful service whisked my lovely daughter to Southampton Hospital on a dark and windy November morning. She had a fund raiser on her birthday, now it’s my birthday - and we are having a Brew For The Crew in our village hall too!

Why are you flying an orange and white striped helicopter?

We are currently flying a different colour AW169 helicopter. G-MGPS (aka Nemo the orange and white stripe helicopter) arrived at Henstridge Airfield on Friday to replace G-PICU, which has gone off for maintenance.
