A huge thank you to Nutley Farm for holding another spectacular Christmas Lights and Reindeer Experience and raising £10,467 for us!

This is the third year that Anne Roots and her son Julian Hubbuck have held the event in aid of our charity, bringing the total amount raised to £26,013, which is simply incredible! With the approximate cost of one mission equating to £3,000, their fundraising efforts have potentially helped to fund the cost of eight life-saving missions.

Anne was helped by our crew in 2015 after her horse and carriage overturned, having been spooked by farm machinery.

After recovering from her incident, Anne wanted to give something back by raising as many funds as possible; she explains:

The work of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was exceptional and without them, I might not have survived to tell the tale. We continue to support them as a way of saying thank you and try to raise as much as possible. We thank all our customers for attending our Christmas Lights and Reindeer Experience and helping us raise a significant amount once again. I feel proud of the team at Nutley Farm, who are all helping to make a difference for patients, like me, who one day might need such an important service.

Our CEO Charles Hackett and Supporter Engagement Officer Becky Heath were delighted to meet Anne and Julian at Nutley Farm in January to pay thanks, and hear all about the festivities of last year’s event.

What a wonderful way to give back and spread festive joy to others! It is the commitment of people like Anne and Julian, that helps to ensure that we can be there for patients when they need us the most.
