Gift Aid is a simple way to make your donations go further at no extra cost to you or Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. It is a UK government tax relief scheme that allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate. All you need to do is make a Gift Aid declaration. What is a Gift Aid declaration? It’s a statement by an individual taxpayer that they want a charity to claim from HMRC the tax paid on their donation. Claiming gift aid can significantly increase the income of a charity, at no extra cost to the supporter, meaning that more life changing money can go towards the cause. How to make a Gift Aid declaration You must give a declaration to each charity you donate to through Gift Aid. You can include all donations from the last 4 years.
