DSAA announced as Dorset County Football Association’s charity partner

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Dorset County Football Association, which will see our life-saving charity take on the naming rights of the Dorset Senior Trophy for the 2021/22 season.

The Dorset Senior Cup is a knockout cup competition involving association football teams from across the region, who are affiliated with the Dorset County Football Association.

Through the partnership, Dorset County Football Association is hoping to actively support and promote the fantastic work that Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance delivers to the local community.

Jemma Tewkesbury, Dorset FA’s Marketing Lead said: “It’s fantastic to be able to partner with a local charity and not only promote the amazing work they do in the local area, but hopefully help raise vital funds they need to continue to offer critical care to those in need. This partnership would not have been possible without the support from the Dorset FA Board.”

Nigel Saxon, Dorset FA’s Independent Non-Executive Director added: “Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance provides a vital service to our community We are very pleased to be able to help create awareness of their tireless work through this cup competition.”

Emma Jones, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Fundraising Manager was delighted to receive the news and said: “We are absolutely delighted that Dorset FA have chosen us as their charity this year. With no direct funding from the Government or the National Lottery, we rely on the generosity of the public to help us raise our operational costs of over £5million a year. Partnerships, like this, really do make a difference and we are extremely excited to start our journey together.”

The 3^rd round of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Senior Trophy will take place on Saturday 4^th December 2021, with the final scheduled to take place on Thursday 12^th May 2022.

Jeremy’s £15,000 Legacy Gift

We are currently flying a different colour AW169 helicopter. G-MGPS (aka Nemo the orange and white stripe helicopter) arrived at Henstridge Airfield on Friday to replace G-PICU, which has gone off for maintenance.
