In honour to Balint and, because I love helicopters 🌞. Beyond, I genuinely like to improve things and I like to help as much as I can.
We live in a rural community and have seen the need for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance in our village on many occasions.
In 2026, I’ll be taking part in a series of fundraising events to support Dorset Air Ambulance as a way of saying thank you for the incredible care they provided to our family.
To thank the Air Ambulance for their efforts on the 17th July 2025 helping with the coach crash near Wheddon Cross.
Air ambulances are a vital service, particularly in areas like this, and I want to help raise funds to enable you to keep flying. I don't have any direct experience of needing your help (thankfully!), but often see the helicopters flying and see your reps at events. I realise how much it costs to run the service and am glad I am able to make a small contribution towards this.
KDC Group Charity Bike Ride & Seaside ScrambleOn 8–9 May, 20 colleagues from KDC Group will be cycling from our Bristol office to our Bournemouth office to raise funds for our charity partner, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA). Along the route, the riders will stop at the Seaside Scramble, where a further 10 colleagues will also be taking part – making this a brilliant team effort across the business.
Fundraising for D&S Air Ambulance instead of Birthday presents
The Apple Orchard Players are returning to Cudworth again this year with their summer magic! We are raising money as usual for our chosen charity, this year the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance provides life-saving, pre-hospital critical care, to patients in need. They are a vital part of the community across Dorset and Somerset and they rely on our support.
Such a brilliant, necessary & amazing service to have in this rural area.
I did LEJOG for the first time 20 years ago, only own, and carrying my own luggage for the first half. Since then I have done other very long rides, but often in warmer countries! I want to do this again before my 75th birthday in July, and I want to raise money for a truly inclusive cause.
The Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Team are community heroes, the Squirrels and Beavers of West Coker Scout Group want to help raise vital funds to help them keep providing their service to our local community.
I want to contribute to this extremely valuable service being available to more people in their time of crisis. With a second helicopter, more lives can be saved! Please have a look at the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance appeal for a 2nd helicopter. Their current helicopter Peggy takes on more than 3,000 missions a year that cost around £3.5k EACH! Imagine what has to happen when Peggy is out of service for repairs, there is no backup!
