After a highly successful joint concert held at Sherborne Abbey in July 2015, the Dorset Police Male Voice
Choir and Avon and Somerset Constabulary Male Voice Choir, return to the beautiful setting of Sherborne
Abbey on 14th July 2018.

There is probably no finer a building to host such a concert. The Dorset Police Male Voice Choir is now well known in Dorset for its group of some 50 choristers, directed by Dr Jane Oakland and is proud to be singing again in this most prestigious of settings. The Choir has sung widely at many venues in the area and wider afield in the last 23 years.

The Avon and Somerset Constabulary Male Voice Choir was formed in 1974 following the amalgamation of a number of local forces. The Choir has a membership of serving and retired police officers and support staff. The Musical Director is Marysia Gorska.

The repertoire of both Choir’s covers a wide range of classical choral music, ballads, opera and arrangements of popular songs and songs from the stage and film musicals.

The concert is in aid of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Sherborne Masonic Charities Association.
