This way, people can see how their contribution has helped towards your efforts which in turn, will give you the motivation to succeed. Just imagine, if everyone participating in The 5K Twilight Shift raised £100 in sponsorship, this would raise a staggering £50,000 for the Charity! Don't feel daunted by the prospect of asking friends and family for sponsorship money - they will want to support you every step of the way on your fundraising journey! You don't have to focus on asking for large sums of money - it's amazing how small amounts/donations to your campaign can soon add up. Remember that every penny raised really will make a huge difference! If you are new to running or jogging and want to complete some training beforehand, set yourself some personal goals and seek support from your friends and family during the process. The NHS have a ‘Couch to 5K’ training plan which you might find useful. Get sharing the news! Unless you tell your friends, family and colleagues about your fundraising efforts and why you are taking part in the challenge, they won’t know how to support you! To help raise awareness of your fundraising efforts and gain donations, you can share your fundraising page on Facebook, Twitter or by email.
