On July 29th 2018, I'll be competing at The Outlaw in Nottingham - and iron distance triathlon, comprised of a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, finished off with a 26.2 mile run. Oh, and with a 17 hour cut off.

It's taken many hours of training to get to the start line, which I couldn't have done without the support of my family and close friends.

As I've been getting lost cycling and running around this beautiful countryside we call home, it made me appreciate that if the worst happened, the DSAA were only a call away.

It's such a valuable service - bringing hospital skills and equipment to the patient, rapidly. Please don't take it for granted, they're a charity and rely on public donations. Anything you could spare - the price of a beer, or one of those posh coffees you get nowadays, would be hugely appreciated by me and the DSAA.

Thanks for reading, and thankyou so much if you were able to donate.
