In memory of David Hernandez.

Who passed away peacefully at home on 20th June 2023, after a short illness, aged 65 years.

Loving husband to Linda, father to Joanna, David and Michael.

Born in Spain, his family moved to London when he was 8, he met Linda 10 years later. They married in 1982 and moved to Kent, where their three children were later born. In 1997 the family settled in Swanage, after having had many happy holidays there.

David always had a passion for football, and as a youth was offered a number of opportunities to play for big clubs in the city. On leaving school he trained as an audio-visual-aids technician, working in a local secondary school. Then later, with his father and two brothers, set up a patisserie/coffee shop business, producing exquisite cakes for top restaurants. After moving to Dorset, he took over the business of “Swanage Flat Management” with Linda, until his retirement in 2019.

David will be remembered for his involvement with Swanage F.C. as well as being a dear friend to many.

In respect of David’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
