Dad suddenly passed away last August 2019. He bravely faced the challenges associated with a rare neurodegenerative disorder called Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).
Over the years, Dad was robbed of activities he loved to do including keeping fit by running. The last half marathon I ran was with Dad.
Mum bravely fought on, caring for Dad over the years. On the morning he died, she showed bravery beyond anyone's expectations. Mum's heroes on that day were the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance medics, a whole team there to do the very best they could.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance receive no direct funding from the Government or National Lottery and rely upon the generosity of us.
On Sunday the 29th of March, I will be running the Weston Super Half marathon in memory of Dad whilst also raising some (hopefully a lot!) of cash for this amazing charity! There will be no personal bests this time round...the finish line will do!
