News / Events Blog Help raise funds for DSAA There are so many ways that you can help to support us with your own fundraising events or activities. Wow! You are keeping our Fundraising Team busy, we’ve already got events and talks in our diary across this year and next. Thank you to everyone for their wonderful support and don’t forget to let us know if you are holding events in aid of us so we can support you too! National Air Ambulance Week will be taking place between Monday 10th - Sunday 16th September 2018 and we thought we would use this as an opportunity to promote our textile recycling scheme. We work in partnership with Bag It Up Ltd, who provide and service the big yellow banks that are located across the two counties. Everything you donate is sorted into over 110 different categories and the quality of the items determine the part of the world they end up in. Any items that cannot be sold on are recycled into industrial wipers, mattress fillings, cloths, insulation and new fibres. See our ‘Bag It, Bank It, Help To Save Lives’ page for more information on the initiative initiative. If you are more of an adrenalin junkie, then why not take part in a sponsored parachute jump! We have upcoming dates where you can jump in aid of the Charity, although you can do this at other times too. See our skydive page for further details. We also relish the opportunity to work with businesses, regardless of how large or small. Whether you have a handful of employees or a whole company who want to get involved, we would love to work in partnership with you. Our team pride themselves on giving you all the support you need, so why not get in touch today by emailing: [email protected] We would like to take this opportunity to also mention Gift Aid. If you are a UK taxpayer and have raised money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, we can claim an additional 25% on your donation, that’s 25p in every £1 donated. Simply download a copy of our Gift Aid form or ask the office to send you one in the post. For those who are taking part in a sponsored event, please ensure that all those who tick the Gift Aid box enter their full name, home address and postcode; we are unable to process claims if they are not complete or show a business address. Finally, a sincere thank you from us all to everyone who supports us by fundraising or volunteering their time to the Charity. Patient’s lives depend on us being there and with your support we can be!
