On Sunday 13th May 2018, our ever-popular Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge is taking place and we are urgently seeking volunteers who can help as route marshals on the day of the event.

Route marshals help to ensure the safety of participating cyclists by guiding them at key points along the 54-mile route from Watchet Harbour in Somerset to West Bay in Dorset.

Main role/responsibilities of route marshals are to:

  • Act as a presence on behalf of the Charity at designated marshal points along the route
  • Provide guidance and directions to participating cyclists
  • Marshal points must be manned at all times until the back rider/driver comes through
  • Route marshals are not permitted to direct or stop traffic at any time

We have a number of marshal points that need manning in Dorset and Somerset. If you would be interested in helping us with this important role for our event, please contact our Fundraising Team ASAP with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Contact number
  • Email address
  • Area you are based i.e. Dorset/Somerset

Please email: [email protected] or call our Fundraising Team on: 01823 669604 to discuss this in further detail.
