Somerset Rebels Speedway has named Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance as their Charity Partner for 2018.

Speaking of the Rebels tie-up with the Charity, promoter Debbie Hancock stated: "We share the same year of inception as DSAA and I have always been impressed with the valued operation they provide within the Emergency Services. There have been occasions where our sport has required such a service and so I am delighted to be able to offer them the support of the Rebels. During the season we will be pleased to hold collections to help with their funding and I am sure that our loyal band of supporters will do what they can to support the Charity."

Lara Battersby, DSAA Communications Assistant commented on the partnership by saying: “We are delighted to have been selected as Somerset Speedway’s Charity Partner for 2018. The Charity’s operational costs are over £2.5 million per year and the approximate cost per mission is £3,000. We receive no direct funding from the Government or the National Lottery so we are grateful that Somerset Speedway and the Rebels will be supporting us throughout the year.”
