Following the Prime Minister’s announcement that the UK can move into the next phase of the Government’s ‘road map’ out of lockdown, we have received confirmation from the Fundraising Regulator and Chartered Institute of Fundraising, that face-to-face canvassing activities can resume from 12th April 2021.

As of Monday 12th April, you may once again start to see our canvassing team across the two counties, either door-to-door or at private site venues like supermarkets or garden centres, where we have acquired permission for them to be there. They will be promoting our Flight for Life Lottery and Regular Giving initiatives, which are both vital sources of income for the charity.

All of our fundraising activities will continue to be undertaken in line with Government risk assessments, and following the standards set out by the Fundraising Regulator and Chartered Institute of Fundraising. Our canvassers have undertaken extra training to ensure the safety of both themselves and the general public. They will be wearing PPE and practicing social distancing to ensure a contactless interaction.

All canvassing activities will be kept under regular review and if the need arises, changes will be made in accordance with any further guidance received.

Any queries relating to our door-to-door canvassing can be made by calling: 01202 849530 (9.00am – 5.00pm), or by emailing: [email protected]
