Our Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge will take place on Sunday 17th May 2020.

For health and Safety reasons, our annual Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge offers a maximum participation of 600 cyclists and two different distances:

  • 55 miles—commencing in the picturesque historic Somerset town of Watchet and finishing in the beautiful seaside resort of West Bay
  • 11 miles—commencing in the Dorset village of Drimpton and finishing in West Bay

Liaising with parishes along the route we try to involve all communities and have pit stops along the route to provide sustenance to the cyclists.

With the support of West Somerset and West Dorset District Councils, Avon & Somerset and Dorset Police we pride ourselves on offering an event which is registered and insured with British Cycling.

Our event has proved ever popular year on year. In 2019, all 600 places places were snapped up in a matter of days, attracting cyclists of all abilities and ages. Because this is designed to be a challenge and not a race there is no pressure on those who are amateur or occasional cyclists. The event will have two start times, one for club and enthusiast cyclists and another for those who are a little less experienced.

Last year’s event saw people of all ages and abilities take part, raising over £54,000 which is incredible! This year, we are hoping that you can help us to raise even more as part of the Charity's 20th anniversary celebrations.

As our Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge is our only charity-run fundraising event, we are strongly encouraging those who are fortunate to have gained a place, to raise additional funds through sponsorship.

By completing this application process, you are agreeing that each entrant added by you will agree to abide by the event terms and conditions.

Sorry - Registration for our Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge is now closed!

Registration for next year's event will open in December 2020.
