Country and Western Festival in aid of DSAA!

Northam Farm Holiday Park is a busy family run holiday park in Brean Sands, Somerset catering for Touring Caravans, Motorhomes, Tents & Teepees!

Every year we hold a Country & Western Festival with a chosen charity, this year being yourselves. Everybody dresses up for the festival, many with authentic costumes ranging from high class ladies, saloon girls, surly cowboys with their stetsons, Mexicans with their big sombreros and Native American Indians, painted faces as well.

On Northam Farm itself we have a couple of market stalls, bouncy castles & a Buckin’ Bronco as well as a Wild West Re-enactment where you can watch a shootout or pose with the cowboys. They have a collection bucket for donations.

There are 3 free entertainment venues; The Seagull, The Staging Post (part of The Seagull) & Scotty’s Bar with top bands playing C&W music from lunch time until late at night. Line dancing is held from 11am until 4pm daily in The Seagull.

There is a C&W themed market known as The Traders Village located in a large marquee erected in the car park in front of The Seagull.

Charity collections are made throughout the festival.

We hold a Car Boot Sale on Northam Farm on Wednesday 4th October in the morning with the proceeds for the tables going to the charity and an Auction & Raffle at The Seagull on Thursday 5th October in the evening.

From experience, we have found that we raise more money if the charity can attend as much as possible to make a visible presence.

Last year, we raised £4500.00 for BARB (Burnham Area Rescue Boat) and hope to do the same for D&S Air Ambulance with the generosity of the Country & Westerners.

On Saturday 14th October we will hold an over 18s fancy dress party at The Seagull and those that do not dress up pay £1 which will also go towards D&S Air Ambulance.
