Riders In The Sky are a local fundraising group from Glastonbury who raise money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance in memory of Lee Baker, an avid motorcyclist and charity worker who lost his life on the 8th November 2010 in a motorcycle accident.

The group hold an annual Ride Out and Family Fun Day which has become a massive fundraising success. Last year’s event raised a total of £10,348 which is amazing.

Lee’s sister, Nikki Lamb who helps organise the event said: "We are truly grateful for the wonderful support we receive from the community in helping us raise funds for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. Locals and businesses alike play a massive part in the events success and with their help last year, we were able to present a cheque to the air ambulance for £9,500.”

RITS PosterThis year’s Ride Out and Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 29th May at Tor Leisure in Glastonbury. Tickets for the 70 mile ride out cost £5 per person and the Family Fun Day will start at 12.30pm. The event has something for the whole family and includes an auction, raffle, live music, children’s entertainment, refreshments and much more.

Nikki concluded by saying: “We are really looking forward to seeing everyone at Tor Leisure on 29th May. If any businesses would like to have a stall on the day, or would like to donate towards the auction/raffle, please email: ritsday@hotmail.co.uk.”
