(From left to right) Anne Mitchell, Joint Owner of Rumwell Farm Shop, Debbie Birtwisle, Fundraising Co-ordinator for DSAA and Chris O’Connor, Shop Manager at Rumwell Farm Shop, celebrate their new relationship.

We are delighted to announce that staff at Rumwell Farm Shop in Somerset, have selected Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance as one of the charities they will support during 2016.

Rumwell Farm Shop is located on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington.  It is an independent, family-run, award-winning business owned by the Mitchell family.  It was originally a potato store, when David and Anne Mitchell began selling their potatoes and free range eggs at the gate. Due to customer demand, the range of products soon increased and the farm shop grew into the place it is today. David and Anne’s sons, James and Jack, are now also involved in the business.

Anne said: “We think the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is a vital charity to support in our area and we are looking forward to raising awareness of them locally.   We have a number of fundraising ideas from a quiz and carvery night in our café, to a car wash and even a Rumwell Ramble. We would like to raise at least £2,000 for the organisation throughout 2016.”

Debbie Birtwisle, DSAA Fundraising Co-ordinator said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Rumwell Farm Shop for selecting us as one of their charities this year.  This support is greatly appreciated and we are really looking forward to working with them throughout the year.”
