  5. Portway Classics Delight!

October 6, 2015 by Lara Lucas

portway classic 2The first Portway Classics Car Show took place in Langport, Somerset recently. Local car enthusiasts were treated to an impressive selection of MG’s, Jensen Healeys, Minis, Triumphs and Aston Martins ranging from the 1960’s to the present day.

The invitation only event was organised by John Hazzard and Bernie Graham and took place at their home in Langport. The day was a joyous occasion with entertainment provided by DJ Gill Butler and a live acoustic set from Jack and Sophie of Fivehead.

Car owners had the opportunity to display their cars and talk to like-minded enthusiasts whilst tucking into the delights of a BBQ, selection of curries, licensed bar, tea and yummy cakes. The proceeds from tea and cake sales plus donations raised a total of £240 which was split equally between three charities including Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

The turnout on the day was a success and given the fantastic support that the event received, it is likely that this may not be John and Bernie’s last event!
