1300 on Weymouth Relief Road Charity walk

OVER 1,300 walkers, some in fancy dress and Santa hats, marched along Weymouth’s new relief road in support of local charities.The sponsored walk, set up by cancer charity Weldmar, saw 1,350 brave souls turn out in the cold to march along the route from Bincombe to Littlemoor and back.
Among them were four representatives of Weymouth’s MV Freedom boat for the disabled dressed as pirates and Mary Watson, who is campaigning to bring back Weymouth’s women’s refuge. (more…)

Mistletoe Run – Sunday December 19th 2010

The Dorset Motorcycle Club would like to welcome all bikers to their annual Mistletoe Charity Motorbike Ride being held on Sunday 19th December 2010 in aid of the DORSET & SOMERSET AIR AMBULANCE.We will all assemble on Swanage Sea Front at 11.00am for the ride back to The Sandford Labour Club (New Venue) for the Raffle, Free hot soup. Tea and coffee will be provided by the Arrowheads Trike Club. Burgers and hotdogs etc. will also be available to buy with all proceeds going to the Air Ambulance.
The run is open to all powered two and three wheelers and is free to enter with a suggested minimum donation of £5 per bike. (more…)
