  1. Bowling Their Way To 200 pounds

    Verwood Bowling Club recently held their annual charity day in aid of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.  After the bowling matches had finished, members enjoy tea and cakes and held a raffle which everyone contributed to.  The club were delighted to hand over a cheque to Annette Plaistow-Trapaud for £200.


  2. Transport of Yesteryear Present Air Ambulance With Cheque

    During 2010, Transport of Yesteryear has once again been supporting the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.  Earlier in the year they organised a summer fete and have held numerous raffles on club nights.  Annette Plaistow-Trapaud recently visited the Lugger Inn, Chickerell to accept a cheque for £900 from the group.  Many thanks to everyone involved.


  3. Bridport Ladies Coffee Morning

    The Bridport Ladies Club recently held a charity coffee morning in aid of the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.

    The coffee morning was held in the United Church Hall, East Street, Bridport on a beautiful sunny day.  There were tables selling cakes & produce, bric-a-brac and hand-made cards, which together with refreshments raised a total of £110.


  4. Grassington House Give Generously!

    Grassington HouseGrassington House Residential Home, situated in Dorchester, held their annual garden party in aid of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.  By selling cream teas, cakes, and by running a tombola, the eleven residents, together with their friends and families, raised an amazing £700 and recently presented a cheque to Annette Plaistow-Trapaud (DSAA fund-raising co-ordinator).


  5. Harry Love Meets The Crew That Saved Him!

    Harry Love needed the services of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance when he was hit by a car.    He sustained multiple injuries and was taken to Bath Hospital.  Harry has now made a full recovery and recently visited our airbase to meet members of the crew who helped him on the day.  Estelle Love (Harry’s mum), presented the team with a cheque for £1,092.21. A fund-raising day by Chewton Mendip Primary School (Harry’s school) raised a fantastic £761.00 with the remainder being raised by Estelle’s family and friends.
