A charity champagne tea party held by Vaux Park Polo Club in March has raised a remarkable £5000 for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA).
The money was raised through an auction at the club’s end of winter season polo tournament, sponsored by Clydesdale Bank. The final total included promises such as a hot air balloon ride for two, a break for four at Cottesmore Lodges in Sussex, salmon fishing on the river Dart, and other donations were made by Classic Canes, Lanes Hotel, Hiho Jewellery, and Juals Clothing.
In recognition of this fund-raising achievement the Air Ambulance invited Tim Vaux of Vaux Park and Graham Poulton, Partner of Clydesdale Bank, to visit the DSAA airbase in Hentsridge Airfield on the Dorset/Somerset border. (more…)
